The flower road attracts people to visit Pearl Island

With the idea of turning the cross-island traffic route into a flower road, creating new tourism products, and attracting visitors to Cat Ba tourist area, Cat Hai District People's Committee has invested 64 billion VND to implement the project. After nearly 2 years of active construction, up to now, the project has basically been completed, creating more fascinating points to attract tourists from all over the world to Pearl Island.

The flower road was started construction at the end of 2019 with a total length of nearly 10 km and deployed in Phu Long, Hien Hao, Xuan Dam, Tran Chau communes, Cat Ba town and vacant land areas of the entire project of provincial road No.356. The highlight of the project is 3 watch-towers with traditional architecture. Each watch-tower has the width of 147 m2, and the height of over 11m, designed in an octagonal shape of ironwood. The entire banisters and fences around watch-towers are made of natural green stone, creating a highlight to attract tourists as well as places to enjoy the wild and majestic beauty of Cat Ba archipelago. Along both sides of the road are planted with colorful bougainvillea.

Many tourists returning to Cat Ba after more than a year of suspending tourism activities due to COVID-19 epidemic are really surprised by the scene on this road.
