Under the framework of the program on restoring tourism development in 2022, in order to guarantee the sustainability of Hai Phong Foodtour, on the morning of June 8, Hai Phong Department of Tourism held a conference on improving the quality and scale of Hai Phong Foodtour Program, which was attended by leaders of departments, branches, and localities, and more than 100 owners of restaurants, food stalls, groups, and tourism fanpages on social network platforms.
In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Huyen - Director of Department of Tourism mentioned that Hai Phong was previously known for Do Son beach and Cat Ba island, however, after a long time of epidemic prevention, Hai Phong tourism had become more and more popular among tourists, especially with Hai Phong Foodtour Program, creating good effects on different media platforms. She voiced Department of Tourism’s request for the cooperation and contribution of local restaurant owners in ensuring food safety and hygiene, civilized behavior, as well as creating more experience services for visitors to have a good impression when coming to Hai Phong. The Department wished to receive support, cooperation, and information from restaurant owners to conduct the digitization of culinary addresses and stories about excellent dishes to inspire culinary culture for tourists.
At the conference, Department of Tourism acknowledged the contributions of management agencies and food service business owners to further develop impressive products to attract tourists to Hai Phong.
