Delegates carried out incense offering to open Dau Island festival in 2022
(HPDT)- On the morning of March 3 (for February 1st of lunar calendar), Do Son District People's Committee held a flag raising ceremony to open Dau Island festival in 2022. Attending the ceremony were Ms. Dao Khanh Ha, Member of Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairperson of Propaganda Commission of the City Party Committee; Leaders of Do Son District, local people and tourists.

Dau Island festival in 2022 takes place from February 1st to February 9th of the lunar calendar (ie, from March 3rd to March 11th of the solar calendar). The festival is one of unique cultural and religious activities of Do Son people in particular and northern coastal fishermen in general. At the same time, it is an opportunity to promote the potentials and values of the national beauty landscapes of Hon Dau Island and Do Son District to tourists. In order to ensure the safety of prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic, this year, Dau Island festival will hold ceremonies, not festivals.

To serve the sightseeing and worship needs of local people and visitors, before opening the festival, Do Son District People's Committee strictly arranged and inspected regulations to ensure the safety of passenger transport vehicles at piers; carry out plans to ensure security and order, forest fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation as well as prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic, ensuring convenience for local people and tourists to attend the festival.
