In order to implement one of the targets noted in Resolution No. 45 of the Politburo on Hai Phong City construction and development by 2030, vision to 2045, that is to develop Cat Ba tourism area, Do Son tourist spot along with Ha Long tourist spot (Quang Ninh province) into a hub of international tourism, Cat Hai island District has prioritized tourism development works for over the past 02 years.
Deploying Resolution no. 05/2021 dated 12/8/2021 by the City People’s Council, Cat Hai Island District People’s Committee has currently developed plan to dismantle aquaculture areas and dining service units (floating restaurants), contributing to returning scenery and space as well as to get clean ground for investment attraction and big tourism projects implementation.
By April 06th 2022, 152 out of 440 units had received supportive fees and organized dismantling aquaculture rafts. Some units have still backlogged high-value commercial seafood in big volume and not yet consumed, hence, they would dismantle their rafts and move in the coming time.
