Hai Phong Welcomes 170,000 Tourists During Lunar New Year 2025

According to information from the Hai Phong Department of Tourism, during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, from January 25 to February 2, 2025 (corresponding to December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025 on the lunar calendar), Hai Phong welcomed and served approximately 170,000 tourist arrivals, including 23,000 international visitors and 147,200 domestic tourists.

Tourism businesses across the city actively prepared to welcome visitors, decorating their premises and organizing various programs and tourism products to attract travelers. They also implemented tourism stimulus programs during the Tet holiday. Notably, most tourist accommodations, attractions, and entertainment areas in the city did not raise their service prices, instead placing emphasis on improving the quality of services provided to tourists.

According to statistics, the number of visitors to Hai Phong during the 2025 Lunar New Year (Year of the Snake) increased compared to the 2024 Lunar New Year (Year of the Dragon). This growth is attributed to the city’s improved transportation infrastructure and the renovation and enhancement of public spaces, historical sites, and scenic spots, creating a more open and beautiful environment for spring travelers.

Moreover, districts throughout the city organized a wide range of unique, attractive cultural, sports, and traditional festival activities at historical sites, cultural venues, and tourist destinations. Local tourism businesses and accommodation facilities focused on improving service quality, launching promotional programs, and introducing festive events to celebrate Tet and better serve their guests.
