Material and labor sources should be concentrated to accelerate Hai Phong – Thai Binh coastal road construction project

On the morning of May 13, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh led a delegation to check the progress of Hai Phong – Thai Binh coastal road construction project, in which he was accompanied by Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, and other leaders of the city, representatives of relevant departments and agencies.

Upon practical check, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh expressed his concern about the slow progress of the construction project that would not probably be able to meet the committed schedule. He underlined that as the capital and constructing ground difficulties have been already removed, contractors had to urgently complete the project. The Deputy Prime Minister requested construction units to prioritize modern equipment and daily 03-shift to ensure the project progress.

Hai Phong – Thai Binh coastal road is 29.7km long, invested of more than 2,460 billion VND and under the BOT type. The project started in May 2017 and by the end of 2021, its loans got approved. At present, the project has completed 35.4% of the works. By the end of 2022, Van Uc bridge item is expected to be completed and be able to open for traffic./.
