Korean investors are expected to invest 02-04 billion USD in Hai Phong in 2022

On the afternoon of April 15, Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority (HEZA) collaborated with the Foreign Investment Agency to organize the investment promotion workshop for Korean investors in 2022.

At the workshop, representative of HEZA introduced potentials, strengths, opportunities for investment, and investment attraction policies in Hai Phong. Korean investors and businesses had been explained and answered by representatives of related departments and agencies regarding concerns, difficulties during projects implementation in industrial parks and economic zones.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of HEZA, informed that by March 31^st 2022, industrial parks and economic zone of Hai Phong City had attracted 102 projects from Korean investors with a total capital of 8.5 billion USD, accounting for 36.6% of FDI’s total capital in the City. Currently, 20 more Korean investors have approached to invest in the City, with a land demand of about 200 ha, a total capital of approximately 2-4 billion USD, expected to create more than 10,000 – 12,000 jobs.
