On the morning of January 22, Mr. Le Tien Chau, a distinguished Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the City Party Committee in Hai Phong, warmly welcomed Mr. Choi Young Sam, the esteemed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam.

During the Ambassador's visit, the Secretary of the City Party Committee expressed his delight at the strong, enduring, and foundational relationship between Vietnam and Korea as a whole, and specifically between Hai Phong and Korean localities.
In addition to economic endeavors, Korea and Hai Phong engage in numerous cultural and interpersonal exchange initiatives. Hai Phong is currently endeavoring to establish an economic hub in the southern region of the city, thereby actively encouraging Korean enterprises to invest in cutting-edge industrial sectors like electronic chips and semiconductors, areas in which Korea excels. Furthermore, the city aims to establish direct flight connections between Hai Phong and Busan, South Korea.
Expressing gratitude to the municipal authorities for the warm reception, Mr. Choi Young Sam conveyed his favorable impression of Hai Phong city and the fruitful collaboration between the two parties in recent years. In response to the suggestions put forth by the city leaders, the Ambassador noted that Korean enterprises hold a highly positive view of Hai Phong's investment climate, thus demonstrating keen interest in the development plans for the economic zone and Free Trade Zone within the city. Furthermore, Mr. Choi Young Sam articulated his openness to partnering in the realms of education and healthcare, thereby enhancing the mutually beneficial relationship between the two entities.
