On the morning of January 17th, United States Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper spearheaded a delegation to visit and engage in activities in Hai Phong city. Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the City Party Committee, presided over a meeting with representatives from various departments and agencies to welcome and collaborate with the delegation.
During the meeting, the Secretary of the City Party Committee conveyed appreciation for Ambassador Knapper's unwavering commitment, substantial contributions, and steadfast reliability in diverse roles for the broader Vietnam-United States partnership and specifically for the Hai Phong-United States ties. Ambassador Knapper conveyed his delight at being in Hai Phong to participate in the Workshop "Achieving the Net-Zero goal: United States - Vietnam, Reducing carbon emissions in industrial production in Hai Phong city". He emphasized that the enhancement of diplomatic ties between the two nations showcases the United States' dedication to assisting Vietnam in its transition to a high-tech economy with top-tier human capital. The Ambassador highlighted that Hai Phong city's strategic directions and key investment sectors are highly appealing to potential American investors.
