On the afternoon of July 21, the delegation of the Central Committee of Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association led by Mr. BoviengkhamVongdara, Member of the Central Committee of Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Minister of Technology and Communications, Chairman of Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association had a courtesy meeting to the city leaders. Accompanying the delegation was Mr. Sengphet Houngboungnuang, Ambassador of Laos to Vietnam.
Mr. Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Union of Vietnam Friendship Organizations welcomed and worked with the delegation. Also attending were Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, and relevant departments, agencies, and units.
Mr. Do Manh Hien gladly welcomed the delegation to work in HaiPhong; affirmed that Vietnam and Laos have had a good friendship, tradition, loyalty, and deep attachment over the past 60 years.
The friendly and cooperative relations between HaiPhong and provinces of Vientiane and Udomxay in many fields have been maintained and achieved many good results. Mr. Do Manh Hien wished that the cooperation between two sides would be enhanced, promoted to new heights, and actively maintained foreign affairs and people-to-people exchanges.
Expressing sincere thanks for the warm welcome of the city leaders, Mr. BoviengkhamVongdara emphasized the good traditional relationship between two countries cultivated over the past 60 years. He wished that HaiPhong would continue to help in many fields for two Laotian provinces of Vientiane and Udomxay, especially in the field of digital transformation and modernization.
