At the meeting, Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of Hai Phong's potential and development orientation. Currently, Hai Phong is the largest port city in Northern Vietnam, a vital international trading gateway, and one of the country's leading centers for economics, industry, trade, and logistics.

The city is focusing on the objectives of Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW to become a modern, smart, and sustainable industrial city, as well as an international logistics center and a modern regional maritime economic hub. With the Lach Huyen international deep-water port system proving effective and the future development of Nam Do Son Port as an international gateway, Hai Phong has a significant demand for high-quality human resources in maritime, logistics, port management, multimodal transport, digital transformation, and innovation.

The Vice Chairman emphasized that Hai Phong values expanding cooperation with prestigious international training organizations to enhance human resource quality. The city expects both sides to increase exchanges and research practical programs in maritime and logistics training, management capacity building, and the application of modern simulation technologies.

Mr. Albert Bos, CEO of STC International, introduced STC Group as a world-leading organization in education, training, and human resource development for the maritime, port, and logistics sectors. He noted that Hai Phong and the Netherlands share many similarities in maritime economic advantages and international gateway port systems.

Building on its partnership with VSM Maritime Joint Stock Company, STC Group aims to gradually expand cooperation with Hai Phong through high-quality training programs, technology transfer, and sharing management expertise. The group hopes to support the city in realizing its goal of becoming a competitive international logistics and modern maritime economic center.

Hai Phong city leaders affirmed their readiness to create favorable conditions and accompany STC Group during the implementation of cooperation programs. This partnership is expected to soon yield practical results, contributing to high-quality human resource development and promoting the city's maritime economy and logistics in a modern and sustainable direction.
