Preparing to organize the event "Vietnam - Korea Educational and Cultural Exchange in Hai Phong"  

On the afternoon of October 28, 2024, the Department of Foreign Affairs held a meeting to plan the organization of the program "Vietnam - Korea Educational and Cultural Exchange in Hai Phong 2024". Comrade Nguyen Thi Bich Dung, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, chaired the meeting, attended by representatives of the city's Department of Education and Training, representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Hong Bang, Le Chan, Ngo Quyen, Kien An, An Duong districts and representatives of the leaders of high schools and middle schools that are implementing Korean language teaching and learning in the city.

This is the third year the city has cooperated with the Representative Office of the Korean Education Department in Vietnam (RODOKEV) to organize this program within the framework of the "Memorandum of Understanding on promoting educational and cultural exchanges in Hai Phong" between the People's Committee of Hai Phong City and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam. The program will increase from 5 Korean language schools in the city in the 2022-2023 school year to 23 schools in the 2024-2025 school year. The program aims to promote cooperation between Vietnam and Korea in general and Hai Phong and Korea in particular; at the same time, it will create opportunities for students studying Korean at high schools and middle schools teaching Korean in the city to have the opportunity to exchange culture, Korean language and experience Korean - Vietnamese culture.

At the meeting, the parties agreed on the general plan of the program, as well as gave comments and learned from previous programs to ensure the effectiveness of the upcoming program.

The 2024 Vietnam - Korea Cultural and Educational Exchange Program will include activities such as displaying and introducing Vietnamese or Korean culture and cuisine, performing arts, Taekwondo performances - traditional Korean martial arts, Hanbok performances and the "Ring the Golden Bell" game.

The program is expected to be held on December 1, at Tran Phu High School for the Gifted./.
