On the morning of August 16, at Avani Harbor View Hotel, Department of Planning and Investment held a conference on investment connections between Vietnamese and Korean enterprises in Hai Phong City, which was attended by Mr. Le Anh Quan, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Mr. Do Van Su, Deputy Director of Foreign Investment Department (Ministry of Planning and Investment); leaders of relevant departments and representatives of Korean enterprises.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Anh Quan affirmed the significance ofKorean enterprises as the city strategic partners and continuous top investor with a large number of projects and investment capital. This conference was a solid first step to open up cooperation opportunities between Korean investors and Hai Phong enterprises in the coming time. Hai Phong always appreciated and supported cooperative ties, as well as committed the foreign investors including Korean partner to favorable and equal business investment environment.
According to Mr. Do Van Su, the conference is among the practical and meaningful activities in the series of 170 activities towards the 30th anniversary of Vietnam and Korea diplomatic ties in the whole country. The city’s volume of foreign investment attraction, with that from Korean investors accounting for 12% of the total Korean capital in Vietnam demonstrated the city's attractiveness to investors and the city's efforts in reforming the business investment environment.
At the conference, Director of Department of Planning and Investment also made a brief introduction to the city's business and investment environment, the city’s specific solutions to support the domestic and foreign enterprise community.
Within the framework of the conference, there was a signing ceremony of an investment and business memorandum of understanding among the Korean enterprise in Hai Phong City - MDA E&C Co., Ltd and three Vietnamese enterprises, including STS Vietnam Development Limited Company, Liftec Vietnam Limited Company, Hoang Son Mechanical One Member Limited Company.
