On the morning of March 31, 2022, Mr. Furusawa Yasuyki, General Director of AEON Vietnam Ltd. Company visited Hai Phong City and took a courtesy call to Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung. Attending the meeting were delegation’s members of AEON Vietnam Ltd. Company and leaders’ representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Commerce and Industry, and Office of the City People’s Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Furusawa Yasuyki expressed his gratitude to Hai Phong City’s authority for supporting AEON Mall Le Chan, especially during the COVID-29 pandemic. Mr. Furusawa Yasuyki shared the good news about AEON shopping mall chain across Vietnam, regarding business operation performance and its business expansion plan in 2022. Indeed, the company has focused on implementing AEON’s appearance at small-scale in shopping malls and residential buildings and e-commerce operation on online application platforms to reach out to more customers. Besides, the company always considers social welfare activities to contribute to social responsibilities.

Sharing with AEON Vietnam Ltd. Company about their good news, Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung expressed his impression on business achievements of AEON Vietnam in general, and AEON Le Chan in particular, notably the latter has provided products and services to local people. Responding to AEON Vietnam’s intention on expanding its business, Chairman of Hai Phong City People’s Committee suggested AEON Vietnam consider opening 10 supermarkets of AEON in 06 districts and 04 locations in the city downtown area in the year of 2022. The Chairman also requested the Department of Commerce and Industry and Department of Planning and Investment to work with AEON Vietnam to choose locations for AEON supermarkets. As for AEON Mall’s intention on e-commerce and social welfare contribution activities, the Chairman expressed his agreement on this./.
