In the afternoon of December 17th, Deputy Chairman of Haiphong People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, hosted the meeting with delegation of the Industrial Committee Presidium and Incheon Metropolitan City Council led by Mr. Kim Hee Cheol, President of the Industrial Committee, Incheon Metropolitan City Council. There were leaders’ representatives from relevant Departments and units.
At the meeting, Mr. Kim Hee Cheol, President of Industrial Committee, Incheon Metropolitan City Council, expressed gratitude to the Vice Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, for his warm greetings. Mr. Kim Hee Cheol emphasized similar features between Haiphong and Incheon, and specially paid attention in terms of industrial development, architecture and culture. He hoped that the meeting would be a great chance to enhance previous cooperation between Haiphong and Incheon cities, and that Haiphong's leaders would continuously interested in and make facilitation for Korean enterprises’ investment at the area of the city.
Giving the speech, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh expressed his appreciation to the Delegation taking the representational visit to Haiphong City; and best wishes for a continuing blooming cooperation between Haiphong and Incheon in particular and between Vietnam and South Korea in general. The Vice Chairman underlined that the economy of Haiphong city had drastically grown and that the city’s leaders had strong determination to drive the city towards further development. During previous years, South Korean enterprises were the biggest investors with regards to capital and project numbers. However, such investment was not yet commensurate to potentials and advantages of the both cities. Ongoing time, therefore, Incheon and Haiphong would continue strengthening their cooperation in all eco-social sectors that would then facilitate enterprises of both sides to get researches, understandings and making investments at either Haiphong or Incheon.
