On the morning of June 02, high-ranking delegation of Lao State Inspectorate led by Mr. Khamphan Phommathat, Inspector General of Laos, visited and worked in Hai Phong City, to learn about situation of economic and social development and handling of complaints, denunciations, anti-corruption in Hai Phong City. Attending to the meeting were Mr. Dang Cong Huan, Deputy Inspector General and the Government Inspectorate’s delegation.
The above visit is of great significance in the context of the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos. Hosted and worked with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Mr. Le Anh Quan, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; the City Party Committee’s Supervision Bureau and Internal Affairs Bureau; leaders of Departments and agencies of the city.
Welcoming the delegation to visit and work in Hai Phong City, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung emphasized that the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos has been fostering and effectively developed by generations of leaders of the two Parties, States, and people of the two countries. The Chairman mentioned that the provinces of Vientiane and Oudomxay of Laos and Hai Phong City have currently made courtesy calls, meetings, experiences exchange, and cooperation in various fields, contributing to enhancing solidarity between the two brother nations.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Anh Quan reported that strictly following the guidance of the Government, Government Inspectorate, the city has issued many documents directing all levels and agencies to improve public service, citizen reception, enhancing responsibility in handling complaints and denunciation according to regulations. At the same time, the city announced an anti-corruption plan and requested all levels and agencies to implement it in accordance with the law.
Thanks to the warm welcome of the city leaders, Mr. Khamphan Phommathat solemnly congratulated the city on its economic and social achievements. Mr. KhamphanPhommathat expressed that, through the visit, the inspectors of the two sides will continue to share experiences in inspecting guidance and operation, handling complaints and denouncements, corruption prevention and fighting, contributing to lift up higher relations between the two Parties, two countries, and the two inspection agencies./.
