On the 13th Novmber, 2024, the delegation from Argentina's Justice Party lead by Mr. Emilo Ribera2, Deputy Head of the International Relation Board of the Party, visited Hai Phong as part of their official visit to Vietnam. During the visit, the delegation toured and explored the Nam Cau Kien, an eco industrial park.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Dung, Director of Hai Phong Department of Foreign Affairs. She introduced Haiphong features and ít development to the delegation. Haiphong is the main gate to the sea of the North of Vietnam. It attracted FDI of investors from 41 countries and territories, established relationships with more then 20 localities in the world. The city’s economy has widely openned and achieved 2 digital growth rate over the last 9 years. Nam Cau Kien is a pioneer with model of eco-industrial park that can share useful lessons-learnt with the delegation. Mr. Pham Hong Diep, Chairman of Nam Cau Kien Management Board, presented to the delegation the hisory of the park which has a total investment capital of approximately USD 1.7 billion. It has attracted projects from investors from seven countries in the world. The park exemplifies a pioneering eco-industrial park that successfully applies the circular economy model, enhancing the effectiveness of the production chain. On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Emilio Jose Ribera, congratulated Hai Phong on its economic achievements and welcomed the city’s green development direction and the eco-industrial park model in Nam Cau Kien. He expressed his admiration: “We are very impressed with the economic development of the city. The average growth rate over the last ten years reflects the city’s efforts. We highly value the Nam Cau Kien eco-industrial park model. We believe the future of the next generation depends greatly on the decisions we make today.”
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed potential cooperation between Argentina’s Justice Party and Hai Phong. The Argentina delegation affirmed their role as a bridge to promote Hai Phong’s hospitality and share information about the city with people of Argentina./.
