“Xuan Que huong – Hai Phong 2026”: A Warm Homecoming for Overseas Hai Phong People

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Hai Phong Department of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with relevant agencies, organize the program “Xuan Que huong – Hai Phong 2026” on 9 February 2026 (the 22nd day of the twelfth lunar month, the Year of the Snake) at the Hai Phong City Convention and Performance Center (Tran Kien Street, Thuy Nguyen Ward, Hai Phong City). The program will be attended by representative leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, central agencies, leaders of Hai Phong city, departments, sectors and local authorities.

This is an annual cultural and political external affairs event that receives close attention and direction from the City’s leadership and is one of Hai Phong’s important activities during the Lunar New Year. The program aims to create a warm and meaningful space for meeting and bonding between the City and overseas Hai Phong people living in countries and territories around the world. Through the program, the City also hopes to promote two-way information exchange on the development of the country and the city as well as on the situation of overseas Hai Phong people in their host countries over the past year.

The year 2025 marked a special milestone for the Port City, with many significant achievements in economic development, external relations, culture, and social affairs. Numerous key urban renovation and infrastructure projects were inaugurated in celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam for the 2025–2030 term, bringing a new look and fresh momentum to Hai Phong. These achievements reflect the City’s proactive mindset, readiness, and strong aspiration to rise and move confidently into a new era of national development.

In this spirit, “Xuan Que huong – Hai Phong 2026” is expected to feature many new highlights, with a series of diverse side activities before, during, and after the main event, aiming to warmly welcome overseas Hai Phong people returning home for reunions during the traditional Lunar New Year, while also providing opportunities to directly witness and experience the changes and development of the hometown City.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee respectfully invites overseas Hai Phong people to register to participate in the program via the following link:
