On October 9, 2024, World Vision Organization visited Hai Phong, with the participation of representatives from the Hanoi office. The purpose of this trip was not only to survey the ongoing projects but also to open up opportunities for new cooperation plans.
At the meeting with the leaders of the Hai Phong Department of Foreign Affairs, the two sides evaluated the achievements from social security projects that World Vision has supported the locality over the past years. These projects have contributed to improving the quality of life of Hai Phong people, especially those in difficult circumstances, through livelihood support programs, regional development and education. Notably, the Ngo Quyen District Development Zone Program with two phases from 2012 to 2022, brought many practical impacts with a total aid of nearly 3.5 million USD. Especially after Typhoon Yagi made landfall, resulting in serious impacts on the northern region of Vietnam, including Hai Phong, World Vision Organization quickly deployed timely support to help people stabilize their lives and social security.
