(Haiphong.gov.vn) - In order to gradually realize the goals of promoting digital transformation in all social areas of Hai Phong City, on the morning of March 8, Department of Information and Communications cooperated with HiPT Group Joint Stock Company to organize a Workshop themed "Infrastructure and security requirements for digital transformation”, which was attended by Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee stated that according to Resolution No.03-NQ/TU dated October 26, 2021 on digital transformation of Hai Phong City to 2025, with a vision to 2030 issued by Hai Phong City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Hai Phong had to make efforts to achieve the goals of "fundamental and comprehensive renovation of leadership, management and administration activities of the City Party, Authority, Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations based on the applications of digital technologies and databases. On that basis, on January 24, 2022, the City People's Committee had issued Decision No. 284/QD-UBND on promulgating the action program to implement Resolution No.03-NQ/TU.
Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that in 2022, the City would create the foundation and motivation for a strong development of digital transformation with specific breakthroughs. Therefore, Hai Phong had paid attention and worked with various technology enterprises to find the best direction and the most advanced technology for fastest and strongest transformation. The workshop is a good opportunity to introduce and exchange information among technology experts and representatives of departments and sectors about the City’s infrastructure and security for digital transformation.

At the workshop, delegates were informed about a number of topics: Introduction of some technology solutions for digital transformation; smart cities from edge computing to data centers; smart digital platforms for smart cities; challenges and solutions of wide area network information security.

The ideas and suggestions from the workshop would be synthesized for reference and practical applications during the City’s mechanisms, policies building in promoting digital transformation.
