At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, a delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Thắng, a Politburo Member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, and Director of the Hồ Chí Minh National Academy of Politics, visited China and attended the 19th Theoretical Workshop between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China from December 4th to 8th.
In Beijing, Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Thắng and the delegation met with Mr. Wang Huning, a member of the Politburo Standing Committee and Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
In a friendly atmosphere, leaders from both sides highly appreciated the significant developments in the relationship between the two Parties and nations in recent times, particularly following the successful visit of General Secretary Mr. Tô Lâm to China.
Both sides agreed to continue maintaining regular high-level exchanges and enhancing political trust; strengthening the exchange of experiences and practical theories regarding Party-building, governance, and national development; and improving the effectiveness of key cooperation mechanisms between the two Parties and nations, as well as between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
The two sides emphasized enhancing the quality of substantive cooperation, bringing more tangible benefits to the people of both countries. They also agreed to organize the "Vietnam-China 2025 Year of People-to-People Exchanges" on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, fostering a strong foundation of friendship between the peoples of both nations. Additionally, they committed to jointly maintaining peace and stability at sea, effectively managing and resolving disagreements based on high-level common understandings and international law.
