(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of March 22, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam led a delegation of relevant departments’ and units’ leader to inspect the preparation for the Opening Ceremony of the 9th Sports Festival at Hai Phong City Sports Complex.

According to Department of Culture and Sports, the Opening Ceremony of the Festival, of which the number of participants was 1,400 people including honorable guests, athletes, military, students, takes place at 20:00 on March 27, 2022 at Multipurpose Gymnasium, Hai Phong City Sports Complex, and will be broadcast live on Hai Phong Radio and Television Station.

So far, the ceremony team had been trained at Hai Phong University, the 34th Armored Battalion’s headquarter and would have a general rehearsal at the city gymnasium. The parade team consists of 26 sub-sections of departments, branches, unions, referees, typical athletes and 15 districts. The Culture and Sports Department had compiled and edited narration for the City’s Propaganda and Education Commission’s comments. The ensemble section is practicing as plan. At Multipurpose Gymnasium, Organizer placed a festival torch, installed a LED screen, conducted disinfection spraying, cleaned and prepared other facilities for the Festival’s Opening Ceremony.

After the inspection, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam affirmed the Festival’s significance as a way to promote the images of land and people of Hai Phong City to domestic and international friends. Up to present, the preparation for the Opening Ceremony had been almost completed. The Vice Chairman assigned Department of Information and Communications to take charge of information dissemination during the Opening Ceremony; requested departments, branches and localities to manage those in the parade section with the same height and weight, careful practice, thoughtful transportation and safety arrangement; confirm the delegate attendance for thoughtful receptions; requested the City Public Security’s plan on ensuring traffic safety, security and order, and fire prevention; requested Electricity sector’s careful check of overall capacity of electrical equipment with generators for the main activities; requested Health sector’s coordination in Covid-19 prevention and control…
