In the afternoon of March 5, 2024, the Deputy Chairman of the City People's Committee chaired a delegation from Hong Kong Sunwah Group, headed by Mr. Jessi Choi, the Group's General Director for Southeast Asia, for a visit and inspection in Hai Phong. Also present were officials from the City People's Committee Office and pertinent departments and agencies.
During the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee provided the delegation with an overview of the city's socio-economic accomplishments in 2023, as well as the collaborative efforts between Hai Phong and various localities and Chinese partners. The Vice Chairman expressed his hope that Mr. Jessi Choi, as the leader of the Sunwah Group and numerous associations in China, would assist Hai Phong in engaging with prominent investors in China to explore and understand the investment landscape. This would facilitate the establishment of a Group representative office in Hai Phong, serving as a hub for information exchange and communication between the two parties.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Jessi Choi expressed gratitude to the city leaders and heads of various departments and units for their warm and gracious reception. During his address at the meeting, Mr. Jessi Choi underscored that Sunwah, a Hong Kong-based enterprise with a 54-year history in Vietnam, maintains strong relationships with government ministries, central agencies, and local authorities throughout the country. In response to the city leaders' suggestions, Mr. Jessi Choi will relay the information to the Group's executives for further analysis and the development of a detailed plan.
