On the morning of May 17, at the Nhà Kèn (Nguyen Du Flower Garden), the Haiphong Department of Foreign Affairs organized the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Exchange Program 2025. This event was part of Haiphong International Week 2025, celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Haiphong’s Liberation (Heroic City) and the 2025 Red Flamboyant Flower Festival.
The program featured highly artistic and meticulously prepared performances, including standout acts by the Korean Bujihwa Art Troupe, composed of professional dancers, singers, musicians, and students from prestigious Korean art schools. Additionally, performances by students from Haiphong schools left a deep impression, beautifully blending the cultural identities of Vietnam and Korea.
Highlights included:Bujihwa drum performances set to the Vietnamese song "Việt Nam ơi!", "Ariang Mokdong" and "APT" performances, Creative Korean dances to Vietnamese melodies like "Bèo dạt mây trôi", "Cô đôi thượng ngàn", "Giai điệu Việt Nam mình", "Hello Việt Nam" and Vietnam-Korea HPU mashup dances, creating an electrifying artistic atmosphere.
Beyond the stage, attendees enjoyed interactive activities with Korean artists, quiz games about Vietnamese-Korean culture, and lively exchanges, particularly engaging for youth eager to explore cultural diversity.
The Vietnam-Korea Friendship Exchange 2025 strengthened solidarity between Haiphong and Korean localities, fostering bilateral cooperation in culture, education, economy, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. It aligned with the Vietnam-Korea Year of People-to-People Exchanges, deepening mutual understanding and reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two nations for regional peace and development.
