Updating 10 groups of contents in the adjusted master plan of Hai Phong City to 2040, with a vision towards 2050

(HPDT)- On the afternoon of November 18, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of the City People's Committee chaired a meeting to give direction on the adjusted master plan of Hai Phong city to 2040, with a vision towards 2050.

Attending the meeting together, there were: Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Mr. Le Anh Quan; Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee Mr. Le Khac Nam, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho; leaders of the city’s departments and branches; Secretaries of the party committee, Chairmen of the People's committee of districts.

The adjusted master plan of Hai Phong city to 2040, with a vision towards 2050 was appraised by Ministry of Construction and submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval. However, in the process for approval, the Prime Minister has issued decisions to approve the master plan on development of Vietnam's seaport system in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050; the master plan on railway network development in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050. Accordingly, there are a number of changes, affecting the adjusted master plan of Hai Phong City.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, Chief of Office of the City People's Committee introduced the meeting schedule.

Leaders of departments and localities basically agreed with the adjusted projects and wished that the adjusted master plan would be approved soon, creating favorable conditions for attracting investment and realizing socio-economic development goals of Hai Phong City.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Mr. Nguyen Van Tung stated clearly 10 groups of contents to be paid attention and updated in the adjusted master plan. Those are the adjusted contents related to seaport planning; industrial parks, industrial clusters, green park land; hi-tech agricultural zones; urban development areas in a number of districts such as: Cat Hai, Hai An, An Duong, Duong Kinh, Kien Thuy, Do Son, Vinh Bao... Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Department of Construction to absorb comments at the meeting, and update, supplement, complete the adjusted master plan, closely follow the new master plans approved by the Prime Minister and requirements to develop Hai Phong in the spirit of Resolution No.45-NQ/TW of the Politburo; Action Program No.76-CTr/TU of Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the implementation of Resolution No.45-NQ/TW. After completing the adjusted master plan, the City People's Committee submits to Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for consideration, comments and submission to the Government for approval./.
