(HPDT)- On the morning of November 19, the National Museum of History coordinating with the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association and the An Bien Collection (Hai Phong) opened the exhibition "Vietnam Ceramics: A Separate Tradition - From the An Bien Collection" at the National Museum of History at 01 Trang Tien (Hanoi).

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Prof. Dr. Luu Tran Tieu, Chairman of the National Council for Cultural Heritage; Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City.

The exhibition "Vietnam Ceramics: A Separate Tradition - From the An Bien Collection" with nearly 80 outstanding ceramic artifacts, selected from the An Bien collection of Tran Dinh Thang and the others come from the National Museum of History. The artifacts collection introduced the most concise and general overview of the Vietnam ceramics history, especially focusing on introducing Vietnam ceramic art works in the first 10 centuries AD, the peak development of the Ly-Tran dynasties (11th - 14th century) and the Le So-Mac-Le Trung Hung (15th - 17th century). Along with that, the exhibition showcased some ceramic works of Bat Trang (18th -19th century), the only traditional ceramic production center of Vietnam. The artifacts displayed include: model house including house, wall, pipe-roof gate, white enamel teapot, white enamel lotus, celadon teapot, white enamel bowl with dragon pattern, white enamel bowls with flowers and leaves, crackle glazed enamel plates, crackle glazed enamel incensory, a pair of bamboo candlesticks...
