On the afternoon of March 21, Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Golf Association, Tien Phong Newspaper and Hai Phong People’s Committee held a press conference at Daewoo Hotelto announce the National Golf Championship - VinFast Cup 2022, whichwas attended byMr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Mr. Le Xuan Son, Chief Editor of Tien Phong Newspaper as well as leaders of Hai Phong’s Department of Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports and sponsors.
The National Golf Championship - VinFast Cup 2022, mainly sponsored by Vinfast, takes place from April 19 to April 24 at Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong (Vu Yen, Hai Phong City). The total prize value, up to 1.2 billion VND for Vietnamese professional and amateur golfers, is as much as that of Asian Development Tour’s Contests, in which 1 billion for male golfers and 200 million for female one. This sport event will contribute to promoting and raising the professional level of Vietnam’s golf.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Le Khac Nam - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized Hai Phong’s potentials and strengths as the economic center of Red River Delta region and the Northern Coastal region, the trade connection with other countries in the region and over the world when possessing all 5 types of traffic: road, railway, seaway, inland waterway and airway. In addition, tourism was also Hai Phong’s advantages with Do Son, Hon Dau, Cat Ba Gems tourist areas and other numerous famous historical and cultural relic sites. In recent years, Hai Phong had been determined to develop tourism as a key economic sector tobecome an international tourism center in the near future.
