On the afternoon of November 10, the Municipal People Council’s thematic supervision delegation led by Mr. Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People Council, had a meeting with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment on supervising solutions of voters’ petitions in the city. Attending the meeting were representatives of relevant bureaus of the Municipal People Council, Departments, agencies, and localities.
According to its report, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment was assigned to handle 37 petitions of voters in different sectors. The Department has resolved and responded to 20 petitions of voters and has closely collaborated with relevant departments, agencies, and localities to issuing measures for as inadequate problems and obstacles in practice as mentioned by the voters.
After listening to the report, the monitoring delegation noted and highly appreciated the dossier preparation work of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; responses to the voters’ petitions brought out a consensus in people, enhancing agreement and solidarity, trust and leadership of the (Communist) Party, State and local authority. Also, the monitoring delegation requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to gather ideas of the monitoring team in order to conduct measures upgrading quality and efficiency of solutions to the voters’ comments and inquiries. Also, the monitoring delegation acknowledged and recorded opinions and proposals of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for further gathering and reporting the Municipal People Council.
