(Haiphong.gov.vn) In the afternoon of September 7th, Mr. Le Khac Nam – Deputy Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee inspected the progress of oxygen system construction to serve 300 beds for treating COVID-19 patients with severe symptoms at Branch 2 of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital.
Some areas have been completed
Representative of the construction agency stated that it has completed 100% of the 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th floors and 70% of the 6th and 7th floors at the Branch 2 of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital; the installation of copper pipe for medical gas has been urgently implemented at Traditional Medicine Hospital. 40-50% of the installation progress has been carried out in the districts of Kien An, Thuy Nguyen, An Duongand An Lao. The installation of the equipment system has been urgently implemented as scheduled; however, there have been difficulties during the installation progress. It is expected that the installation at medical agencies will be completed on September 25th as directed by the city.
The base for the oxygen tank has been urgently installed
After inspecting the actual progess and consulting viewpoints of leaders of the Department of Health and relevant agencies, Mr Le Khac Nam highly appreciated the close coordination of the Department of Health and the installation agency to ensure the implementation progress. Although the pandemic situation in the city is currently stable, it is impossible for us to neglect. It is essential to foster the installation progress to ensure the completion of the task by September 25th.
Area to install the trench for oxygen pipeline
He also requested the Department of Health to complete procedures for the construction and installation of the oxygen system within this week. It is urgent for the construction agencies to mobilize their staff to complete construction of the base for the oxygen tank and installation of the trench system for the oxygen pipeline separated with the trench system for electrical wires. Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital was recommended to rotate patients, handover its premises to the agencies for their installation of oxygen system, install equipment and beds according to the approved treatment plan for 300 serious patients.
