(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of March 27, the delegation of Ministry of Health led by Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, along with leaders of Korea HB Advisors Group and KT Group worked with the City on international cooperation and investment in HaiPhong City’s health sector.
Welcoming and working with the delegation, from the city side, there were: Mr. Tran LuuQuang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of HaiPhong National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and Leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

At the meeting, leaders of Department of Health informed about some features of HaiPhong's health system. In which: currently, for the public area, there are 9 city-level hospitals, 5 district-level general hospitals, 11 district-level health centers with hospital beds, 4 district-level health centers without hospital beds; for non-public, there are 9 private hospitals; 7 hospitals under ministries and branches located in the city area. At the same time, he said that the city's health sector is currently developing a Digital Transformation Plan to deploy throughout the sector, promoting propaganda and raising awareness, especially heads of units in applying digital transformation.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran LuuQuang, Secretary of the City Party Committee expressed his sincere thanks to the Deputy Minister of Health, delegation and Korean investors for their interests in investing in HaiPhong City through specific proposals. The issues discussed at the meeting, including human resource training and digital transformation, are activities that HaiPhong City is interested in during this period. Therefore, the City will pay attention to specific proposals and recommendations of corporations to invest in and develop the city's health sector in the near future.

Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health thanked the warm welcome of the city leaders; at the same time, he expressed his wishes that HaiPhong City would pay attention to cooperation projects of the Ministry of Health deploying in the city area. He suggested that Korea HB Advisors Group and KT Group coordinate with relevant departments and branches of the City to have detailed and specific plans for submitting to HaiPhong City leaders for consideration; along with that the Groups need pay attention to and support in human resource training, and doctors of Vietnam in general and HaiPhong City in particular.
