(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of September 01st 2021, the City Party Committee, the City People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, hosted a meeting with the Delegation of medical officers and nursing staffs to support Ho Chi Minh City in the COVID-19 prevention and control (phase 2). Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong City’s delegation to National Assembly, attended and gave direction. Participated in the meeting there were Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Mr. Cao Xuan Lien, Member of Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chair of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, leadership representatives of related departments, agencies, and units, and the medical officers and staffs, who have been participating in the Delegation.

Gave speech to encourage the Delegation before their departure, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Tung greeted the medical officers and staffs attending the Delegation. The trip would be harsh; the city’s leaders hoped that Delegation to continue making effort like previous delegations to well support to Ho Chi Minh City in the epidemic prevention and control.
The Chairman also mentioned that, up to the time, the city dispatched 04 delegations to support other cities and provinces in pandemic prevention and control. To add, Hai Phong Pharmacy and Medicine University many times sent its delegations to support provinces and cities. Besides human source support, the city offer VND 43 billion and many other medical equipment and supplies to support country’s localities. The Chairman underlined that, well support provinces and cities in the epidemic prevention has been also helping Hai Phong’s citizen to limit the infection. The Chairman wished the Delegation
Mr. Pham Tien Thanh, Director of Rehabilitation Hospital, Head of the Delegation, gave speech.
At the meeting, Mr. Pham Tien Thanh, Director of Rehabilitation Hospital, expressed sincere thanks to leaders of the city and Department of Health for their entrustment to the Delegation. Mr. Pham Tien Thanh affirmed that, it was also an honor and responsibility with entire Party, army forces, and people to join hands in the fight against COVID-19. The Delegation promised to be united, determined to overcome difficulties, challenges, collaborating with Ho Chi Minh City’s coworkers to implementing trained technical skills effectively to corona virus-infected patients treatment, and performing successfully the city’s assignation.
