On the afternoon of September 30, Chairman of Hai Phong City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung hosted a meeting on digital transformation with Standing Liaison Board of Hai Phong Compatriot Council in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern provinces.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Do Manh Hien, Standing Vice Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, other leaders of the city and relevant departments, agencies and units.
During recent years, Hai Phong had focused and boosted direction on digital transformation, laying important foundation for the development of digital platform, digital facilities, digital database as well as digital government, digital economy and digital society. Besides, proper attention was paid to ensure internet safety and security, human resource development; supervision was regularly implemented guaranteeing the plan schedule.
However, drawbacks existed that needed to be solved soon in the coming time. In the last three months of this year, Hai Phong would continuously accelerate the promotion of the year 2022 theme; implement activities to celebrate the National Day of Digital Transformation to raise social awareness about digital transformation, its importance and benefits.
In his conclusion speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung recognized the contribution made by Hai Phong Compatriot Council’s Liaison Board in Ho Chi Minh City during current years, demonstrated by numerous practical activities with close connection and mutual support. Mr. Nguyen Van Tung expected enterprises in Ho Chi Minh city to make full use of their strength to support Hai Phong digital transformation in the future./.
