At the meeting, Bishop Nguyen Van Ban expressed his delight at undertaking Archbishop of Hai Phong diocese, voicing his impression on the development of Hai Phong City over the past years. On this occasion, the Bishop thanked the city leaders for special attentions to Hai Phong bishop's palace and parishioner community as a great spiritual encouragement for parishioners to continuously live “a good life, a good religion”, actively contribute to the development of Hai Phong City and the whole country.
On behalf of the city leaders, Mr. Tran Luu Quang congratulated Bishop Nguyen Van Ban on undertaking new responsibilities. He affirmed the good relationship of the City and Hai Phong diocese over the past years. Besides, he also briefed the delegation on the city's socio-economic development, in which he emphasized the important contribution of the city’s parishioner community.
The Secretary voiced his hope that Bishop Nguyen Van Ban would continuously uphold the spirit of "living a good life and a good religion"; strengthen the great national unity bloc; join hands to develop Hai Phong into a more and more civilized, prosperous and beautiful city.
