Successfully Held Australia-Vietnam Business and Innovation Forum in Hai Phong

On the morning of November 27th, the Australia-Vietnam Business and Innovation Forum took place at the Pullman Hai Phong Hotel. The event was organized by the Australian Embassy in Vietnam as part of the 2024 Vietnam National Innovation and Startup Festival (TECHFEST Vietnam 2024).
Attendees included Mr. Jonathan Saw, Trade and Investment Counselor at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission in Vietnam; Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises Department (Ministry of Science and Technology); along with experts, investors, and business representatives.
The forum provided an opportunity to share Australia's practical experiences in technology and innovation with Vietnamese companies, promoting trade collaboration between Australian and Vietnamese businesses in these sectors.
Mr. Pham Hong Quat emphasized the growing partnership between Vietnam and Australia in innovation, noting that such events play a crucial role in strengthening connections between technology companies in both countries, especially in Hai Phong.
During the forum, representatives from both countries showcased Australia's technological capabilities in information technology, cybersecurity, and agriculture, highlighting the potential for trade cooperation in these fields.
The event ended with positive feedback from participants, who praised the Australian Embassy’s organization and expressed interest in future events to help Australian tech companies better understand the dynamic Vietnamese market. They also hoped for continued collaboration that would facilitate the introduction of Australian technology solutions to Vietnam’s digital transformation efforts.
