On the afternoon of October 13, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee checked the reception of passengers to Cat Bi International Airport; after all domestic flights have been reopened under the direction of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Transportation, and the City People’s Committee. Related department representatives also attended.

Path from landing area to arrival platform of Cat Bi International Airport was separated into lines to ensure safe passengers’ distance for the COVID-19 prevention and control.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho underlined, according to regulations, passengers on flights arriving Cat Bi International Airport vaccinated and have negative result of RT-PCR test, however the COVID-19 prevention and control at the airport must not be subjective, and must seriously follow guidance of the City People’s Committee in Dispatch No. 7565/UBND-VX dated 09/10/2021. During reception process, staff at checkpoints need to get concrete assignments and arrange the specific order of passengers aligned with each arriving place for inspection and screening. Screen information should be sent to localities where passengers reside so that localities can know and collaborate for effective management and monitoring that meets the guidance of the City People’s Committee and Health sector. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho requested Head of Cat Bi International Airport to continue facilitate the COVID-19 controlling station of the city working here; to collaborate with Department of Transport checking and controlling spontaneous vehicles from entering the airport’s area to pick up passenger; coordinate with taxi-service transport enterprises to strictly control vehicles, drivers, fare cost, and to guarantee safety against the pandemic.
After getting the Dispatch No. 7565/UBND-VX of the City People’s Committee, the Head of Cat Bi International Airport has worked with related departments and units for passenger reception from arriving flights, working area arrangement for controlling stations’ staff, isolation room arrangement, passenger flows organization for convenient reception. The Airport has closely collaborated with the taxi company in hosting commutes, controlling family cars go into the airport for passengers, and supporting passengers transfer to their residency safely and efficiently for self-isolation.
