Strengthening Cooperation between Hai Phong Police and Gyeonggi Province Police (South Korea)
In a spirit of friendship and cooperation, Colonel Đào Quang Trường, Deputy Director of CATP Hai Phong, warmly welcomed the delegation from the Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency and recounted significant milestones in the relationship between the two police forces, particularly highlighting the visit of the CATP Hai Phong delegation to Gyeonggi Province in September 2023. Colonel Trường informed the delegation that, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides, CATP Hai Phong had issued instructions to local police units, ensuring that the MoU’s contents and tasks were implemented effectively. This has contributed to maintaining public security, creating a safe environment to attract investment, and promoting the city’s economic development and international integration.
Colonel Trường proposed that in the future, both sides explore methods of sharing and exchanging information on issues of mutual concern and shared relevance (such as crimes involving high-tech fraud, drug-related offenses, transnational crime, new crime types or criminal tactics), ensuring that the MoU is increasingly practical, meaningful, and effective. This cooperation will enhance the friendship and comprehensive partnership between CATP Hai Phong and the Gyeonggi Province Police.
Major General Gwag Sun Gi, Deputy Director of the Gyeonggi Province Police, expressed sincere gratitude for the warm and thoughtful reception from CATP Hai Phong. He also conveyed his sympathy for the damage caused to CATP Hai Phong and the city of Hai Phong in the aftermath of Typhoon No. 3 (Typhoon Yagi). Major General Gwag highlighted that this was the second official visit from the Gyeonggi Province Police to Hai Phong, and he expressed happiness at seeing the growing friendship, solidarity, and effective cooperation between the two police forces. He further stated that the future cooperation between the two police agencies would deepen, become more practical, and have a lasting impact, not only strengthening their bilateral relationship but also contributing to the broader partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.
