On the morning of November 14, Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong’s People's Committee, hosted and worked with a delegation from Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, China. The delegation was led by Mr. Zhang Bing, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Ningbo People's Congress. The meeting was also attended by leaders from various departments and agencies.

Welcoming the delegation to Hai Phong, Mr. Le Khac Nam emphasized the similarities between Hai Phong and Ningbo, both being coastal cities with modern port systems. He highlighted the growing cooperation and friendship between the two cities, which has become increasingly substantial in recent years. He appreciated the visit and saw it as an opportunity to further enhance the depth and effectiveness of their bilateral collaboration.

Working Scenerio.
During the meeting, Mr. Le Khac Nam shared information about Hai Phong’s economic and social development achievements, investment environment, and potential strengths. He noted that Hai Phong has 14 industrial parks, most of which are already fully occupied. In the coming years, the city plans to develop an additional 20 industrial parks. Notably, Hai Phong has submitted a proposal to the Prime Minister for the establishment of a 20,000-hectare coastal economic zone in the southern part of the city, focusing on high-tech industries, modern logistics, ports, and smart cities. Additionally, Hai Phong has significant tourism potential, with attractions such as Do Son, Cat Ba Archipelago, and Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh), recently recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site.
Mr. Le Khac Nam expressed his belief that, based on the joint declarations made during the official visits of senior leaders of both countries, and the strong friendship between Hai Phong and Ningbo, the partnership between the two cities would continue to develop across various sectors. In response to the delegation’s proposals for further cooperation in trade investment, cultural exchange, public diplomacy, healthcare, and education, he assigned Hai Phong's Department of Foreign Affairs to coordinate with relevant departments to establish regular communication and collaboration to further promote exchanges and cooperation.

Mr. Zhang Bing, expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, praised Hai Phong’s impressive achievements in economic and social development. He expressed his hope that Hai Phong would continue to strengthen cooperation with Ningbo, particularly in the fields of education, culture, trade, and investment, to build a more effective and lasting partnership between the two cities.
