(HPDT)- On the afternoon of October 12, Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation led the mission of Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to work with the City Public Security.
Attending the meeting, there were: Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Mr. Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Members of Standing Committee of the City Party Committee: Mr. Pham Van Lap, Chairman of the City People's Council; Mr. Dang Ba Cuong, Head of Internal Political Affairs Commission of the City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chuyen, Head of Inspection Commission of the City Party Committee; Mr. Dao Trong Duc, Head of Organization Commission of the City Party Committee and Leaders of the following Departments: Transport, Natural Resources and Environment, Planning and Investment, Finance….

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, the Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized the role of the police force in ensuring security and social order of the City. At the meeting, the delegation paid attention to proposals and recommendations for the City and Ministry of Public Security to support the City Public Security in completing the assigned tasks.

Reporting to the Secretary of the City Party Committee and the delegation, Major General Vu Thanh Chuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the City Public Security stated clearly: The City Public Security has 31 department-level units and 15 district-level units. Over the past time, the City Public Security have advised the City Party Committee, the City People's Council and the City People's Committee to lead and direct measures and plans to perform the tasks of protecting national security and social order and safety making an important contribution to attracting investment, helping the City have a strong breakthrough. The forces of the City Public Security have drastically and synchronously deployed measures to fight crimes. Annually, the average number of criminal cases decreased 2.3%; the rate of investing and solving cases reached 82.5%. Statistics for the first 9 months of 2021, the forces of the City Public Security investigated and solved 363 criminal cases, arrested and handled 720 crimes; received nearly 1.4 million documents of citizen identification with electronic chips, reaching 86%. In the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic, the City Public Security established more than 200 mobile teams, with more than 2,000 officers and soldiers permanently mobilized, ready to perform the tasks of protecting security and social order in quarantine areas, medical isolation and checkpoints; mobilized more than 700 officers and soldiers to participate in the city's inter-sectoral checkpoints...

The Leaders of the City Public Security proposed that the City direct all levels, sectors, and Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority to proactively grasp situations aims at early solve problems related to employees, preventing the collective work stoppage and insecurity incidents. In the activities of ensuring traffic order and safety, the City Public Security recommended the City pay attention to soon deploy the investment project on building a center for traffic command and control as well as setting up a citywide traffic monitoring camera system to build a smart traffic system in accordance with Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress; investing in the development of diversified forms of goods transportation; thereby separating motorized vehicles transporting large tonnage of goods from inner urban area; providing pilot service of public bicycles; studying the construction of high-rise parking lots; installing and supplementing urban fire hydrants; building forces for fire prevention, fighting and rescue in communes, wards and towns; arranging land area, supporting fund for building headquarters of some units…

Secretary of the Party Committee frankly pointed out: Recently, in the city area, there have been a number of serious cases, the group of crimes operating in the style of "gangster". In particular, in personal activities, some officers and soldiers who violate the law must be disciplined. Therefore, building the healthy and strong Party Committee of the City Public Security is the root and decisive factor.

In response to the request for “Elite ministry, strong provincial-level police, comprehensive district-level police, communal-level police close to the people”, the Party Committee of the City Public Security must have greater efforts and responsibility. In personal activities, the Party Committee of the City Public Security must always focus on consolidating the organizational apparatus; assigning, arranging and rotating officers reasonably, suitably with their capacities and strengths; training and fostering officers, especially young officers, ensuring strict implementation of democratic centralism principle, in order to create unity and unanimity in the entire party. The inspection and supervision need to be carried out regularly and detect, remind, correct promptly errors of officers and soldiers in performing their tasks, and at the same time, uphold the responsibility of leaders in building solidarity and friendliness and strictly handle violations, thereby making a stainless reputation, contributing to strengthening the firm believes of the people in the police force..../.
