Dear distinguished guests and all the people!
On the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day, recalling the history of thousands of years, Hai Phong has always been an important and strategic location.
- During historical process of constructing and defending the ancestral homeland, Hai Phong had been considered by dynasties “gate of the Citadel”, “the head of wave”, “solid shield” to protect the homeland.
Particularly, many glorious and heroic victories of precedent generations for independence of the Nation had taken place on the historical Bach Dang River.
- During the Party’s revolutionary career, Hai Phong was a pioneering and posterior locality in resistant wars to save and protect the country.
- In the beginning years of the “Doi Moi” period, Hai Phong gained numerous breakthrough achievements that opened and made contributions to the Central Government’s strategic planning on the country’s innovation.
- In the past, thanks to the attention of the Party and State, and close cooperation of domestic and foreign investors, Hai Phong City has developed strongly with breakthroughs.
- Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of Hai Phong City is currently improving with its ranking increasing year by year.
- Remarkably, Hai Phong has recently succeeded in effectively controlling COVID-19 pandemic; the rate of severe cases is very low in comparison to the national average.
To implement successfully Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and Resolution No. 45 of the Politburo on construction and development of Hai Phong City by 2030 and vision to 2045, Hai Phong City has taken the theme of 2022 “boosting urban embellishment and modernization – building new rural model and implementing digital transformation”, and has achieved many outstanding results.
Hai Phong will complete new ports and airport terminals, continue to renovate and upgrade transport systems connecting with regions and new industrial zones to welcome investors.
Continue to embellish many roads and rivers in the inner city, build more new residential complexes to replace the old ones, one more green park in each ward, high rise parking in the city, and more new urban areas.
Hai Phong has strived to become the leader in digital transformation, continuously leading in social welfare works and taking care of families with meritorious services to the Revolution.
The City will complete the construction of a model new rural area by 2025, with an average investment of 125 billion VND for each rural commune.
Particularly, the City has strived to lead the country in industrialization and modernization work and truly become “the development engine of the whole country”.
Within the aforementioned spirit and great belief in a bright future of the City, I would like to announce: Opening of Flamboyant Festival – Hai Phong 2022.
