The delegation of Department of Education and Training checked a computer room with modern equipment
(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of March 9, Mr. Bui Van Kiem, Director of Department of Education and Training led an inspection delegation to check the implementation progress and plan on Gyeongsangnam Future Smart Education Center at Hai Phong Continuing Education Center expected to be into operation in August 2022.
According to Decision No. 1246/QD-BDGDT of Ministry of Education and Training on approving non-project documents of "Technical supports in Information Technology for a number of continuing education institutions" sponsored by Gyeongsangnam Department of Education, Korea, on February 16, Hai Phong Continuing Education Center received 03 high-tech classrooms and teaching equipment, including: 01 computer room consisting of 30 computers with copyrighted software; wireless connection system; fiber optical cable, sound, camera, webcam system to each server and workstation; 01 multimedia classroom with smart desk and chair system, 30 LG laptops, 30 Galaxy Tab tablets; 20 iPads; sound, wireless connection system with optical cable; 3D printer; drones; flycams; copyrighted software, game hardware of education; 01 room for teachers and administrators; a 2-floor library equipped with computers for Internet access and teachers' lesson planning; bookshelf system; photocopiers, color printers, book binding machines, plastic laminators, air conditioners, refrigerators, microwave ovens... for teachers and administrators.
The multimedia classroom with smart table and chair system
The project has been deployed at Hai Phong Continuing Education Center since 2021 with the goals of improving national capacity in IT application and increasing accessibility to digital world for educational institutions in Hai Phong by piloting smart classroom models, as well as making Hai Phong Continuing Education Center a smart center typical for Hai Phong Continuing Education sector in particular and the whole country in general.

At the end of the inspection, Director of Department of Education and Training Bui Van Kiem emphasized that the model of "Gyeosangnam Future Smart Education Center" was a part of digital transformation in education and training for national replication, in which Hai Phong had been selected by Ministry of Education and Training as a pilot locality. According to Mr. Kiem, as the Center had currently been equipped with adequate facilities after 4 years receiving support from Korean partners, the Center’s staffs must be qualified to master and optimize the modern equipment. In the short term, he requested Hai Phong Continuing Education Center to closely cooperate with Continuing Education Division and relevant units to ensure the project operation in August 2022.
