Two units’ leaders signed the Cooperation Agreement.
(Haiphong.gov.vn) – In order for the effectiveness and efficiency of management, production,business activities of Hai Phong Port and also the inspection, supervision and management of import and export goods for citizens and businesses, on the morning of October 16, Hai Phong City Customs Department and Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company held an agreement signing ceremony.
Accordingly, the Cooperation Agreement stipulates responsibility and coordination mechanism between Hai Phong Customs Department and Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company in the management, inspection and supervision of imported, exported, transited goods and means of transport at the entrance, exit, transition of the warehouse and ports of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company and its branches, ensuring the convenient management and circulation of goods through Hai Phong Port in accordance with recent regulation.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Director of the City Customs Department gave a speech at the Conference.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Director of the City Customs Department emphasized that the cooperation mechanism will facilitate export, import and transit activities on the basis of solidarity, assuring the state management in customs sector and information security regulation. Problems arising during coordination must be discussed and agreed upon by leaders and competent authorities of two sides in conformity with regulations and professional requirements.
Mr. Pham Hong Minh - Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company gave a speech at the ceremony.
Mr. Pham Hong Minh - Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company affirmed the close coordination between two units’s contribution to facilitating trade activities, quick release of goods, avoiding congestion, and reducing customs clearance time for imported and exported goods at port areas.
Mr. Pham Hong Minh also added that the production and business targets of Hai Phong Port in the first 9 months of 2021 had witnessed a rise in comparison to the same period of 2020, in which total output of Hai Phong Port increased by 8.1%, revenue increased by 14.3% and profit before tax increased by 27% over the same period of 2020.
