(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of February 07, Mr. Tran Luu Quang, member of the Central Party, Head of Hai Phong delegation to the National Assembly, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Director of Hai Phong Department of Health, visited and wished New Year to Department of Health and the City Center of Diseases Control.

Giving a speech at the visit, the City Party Committee’s Secretary Tran Luu Quang, acknowledged previous efforts of departments and units of the city in effectively controlling the pandemic, particularly contributions of the Department of Health and Center of Diseases Control. After 02 years fighting against the epidemic, by now, the number of the infected cases has been increasing, but the number of the deaths (due to the pandemic) has been at a low level. The city’s leader solemnly expressed gratitude to valued contributions and sacrifice of officials, doctors, nurses, and staff in the health care sector. The pandemic is still unpredictable; the city’s leaders are very eager and expect medical officers and staff to continue their efforts to join hands in the fight against the pandemic.

On the same day, Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang and leadership representatives of related units visited and wished New Year to the City Vietnam Fatherland Committee. Mr. Cao Xuan Lien, member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Affairs Agency, Chair of the City’s Vietnam Fatherland Committee, and other leaders and officials welcomed the delegation.

At that place, Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang, acknowledged and glorified important contributions of the City’s Vietnam Fatherland Committee in recent years. The City’s Vietnam Fatherland Committee’s officials and staff have come up with many good, creative and effective measures to support inhabitants facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 epidemic’s impact, not only in Hai Phong City but also in many other provinces/cities. The Secretary also mentioned that 2022 will be really difficult for Hai Phong City, hence, the target set for the year will be big,, that is, the pandemic will continue to be complicated, the city’s leaders want officials and staff continue to make efforts and join hands with the city for outstanding development.
