Scientific Conference about Pediatric Hematologic Oncology at Hai Phong Children's Hospital

On June 7th, Hai Phong Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with the Institute of Health Sciences and VinUniversity, organized a scientific seminar on the topic of "Pediatric Hematologic Oncology" at Hai Phong Children’s Hospital. The seminar was attended by 120 delegates, including lecturers and medical staff from Hai Phong Children’s Hospital, as well as a speaker from the United States.
On behalf of Hai Phong Children’s Hospital, Associate Professor, Doctor, and Meritorious Physician Bui Van Chien, the hospital’s Director, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the importance of organizing this specialized seminar, especially in the current context. In many developing countries, including Vietnam, over 50% of children with cancer are diagnosed at advanced stages and do not receive adequate treatment. As a result, survival rates and recovery outcomes remain low. Therefore, it is crucial to raise awareness about pediatric cancer, promote the early detection of common warning signs, and ensure timely treatment to increase children’s chances of survival. He also expressed gratitude and appreciation for the participation of leading experts and speakers from both domestic and international fields, who shared valuable knowledge and experiences on this topic.
