(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of February 24, Mr. Le Khac Nam - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Director of Hai Phong Department of Health chaired a conference on receiving SARS-CoV-2 rapid test kits donated by Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) for the city’s prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic.

At the conference, on behalf of Sacombank, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Director of Hai Phong Branch Sacombank, presented the City 200,000 Korean rapid test kits BIOCREDIT COVID-19 Ag worth 9.1 billion VND with the hope that that these medical supplies would be quickly and effectively deployed to serve testing activities, contributing to the city’s epidemic prevention and successful combat in the near future.

Mr. Le Khac Nam - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Director of Hai Phong Department of Health said that in recent years, though the number of COVID-19 cases in Hai Phong had increased rapidly, that of severe cases and deaths was at low level, the death rate was 1/10 as compared to that of national average, which resulted from the city’s good vaccination, medical training for healthcare staffs and strengthened diplomatic activities for antiretroviral drugs. Facing numerous difficulties in procuring medical equipment and supplies, the City had mobilized a number of businesses in the epidemic prevention and control.
On behalf of the city's leaders and health sector, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam acknowledged and thanked Sacombank for its valuable supports, voicing the city’s commitment to effective use of these test kits according with the hope of Sacombank.
