On the morning of September 14, at the City’s Conference Center, Central Economic Committee with Hai Phong City Party Committee organized the Reviewing Conference on the implementation of Resolution no. 54-NQ/TW issued on September 14, 2005 and Conclusion no. 13-KL/TW issued on October 28, 2011 by the Politburoon the Red River Delta’s socioeconomic development security and national defense consolidation by 2020, which was co-hosted by Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Politburo member, Head of the Central Economic Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for reviewing the Resolution no. 54-NQ/TW, and Mr. Tran Luu Quang, member of the Central Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong’s Delegation of the National Assembly’s Deputies.
The conference was attended by leaders of Central departments, Ministries and agencies, 11 Red River Delta’s localities’ Party Executive Board; members of the Steering Committee, Editing Team for reviewing the Resolution no. 54-NQ/TW. As for the city, there was Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Do Manh Hien, members of the City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Vice Chairmen of the City People’s Committee and the City People’s Council, leaders of departments, agencies and localities.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Vice Head of the Central Economic Committee, Vice Head of the Steering Committee had presented the Bief Summary and Report Drafting of the Resolution no. 54-NQ/TW implementation. Accordingly, the Red River Delta area owning long history and culture, beautiful sceneries, well-known relics attached with national building and defense progress was among the six national socioeconomic areas with significantly strategic value in politics, socioeconomy, security - national defense and foreign affairs; a scitech hub with highly qualified intellectuals; a center of human resource training and nationwide supply with numerous universities and big research institutes;.
The delegates had reached high consensus on approach and research method, outline and structure of the report. The report reviewing the Resolution no. 54 was drafted by the Editing Team’s Standing Board in line with the Outline approved by the Steering Committee, appropriate to the region’s practical development. The draft report had updated directions and tasks of the Red River Delta set in the 2021 – 2030 Socioeconomic Development Strategy approved in the Party’s 13th Congress and in recent Central Specific Resolutions.
The delegates basically agreed on goals, targets, tasks, and measures for fast and sustainable development of the Red River Delta as noted in the drafted report.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Luu Quang underlined that the reviewing meeting was of considerable significance with numerous important contents, especially the proposal on issuing a new resolution of the Politburo on guidelines for socioeconomic development, security and national defense consolidation in the Red River Delta by 2030, vision to 2045.
In his concluding speech, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh highly appreciate the careful and qualified preparation of the Editing Group’s Standing Board as well as the positive, thoughtful and responsible participation and contributions of leaders of Ministries, agencies, Party Executive Boards of localities in the region, especially that of Hai Phong Party Committee./.
