
On the morning of July 26, chaired the meeting on the implementation progress of the coastal road construction investment project, the section through HaiPhong City and 09 km in Thai Binh Province in the form of a public-private partnership and the coastal road construction and expanding investment project, the section from provincial road No.353 through Hai Phong city to Thai Binh Bridge, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Mr. Nguyen DucTho emphasized that these are important projects in connecting inter-regional traffic.
Dealing with sand shortage for construction from the beginning of May, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review the sand mines, work with businesses to prioritize sand sources for the project; assigned Department of Transport in collaboration with contractors to work with localities to use roads for material transportation.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee also requested the Project Management Board to strengthen construction supervision, daily progress reports and suggested Thai Binh Province to complete site clearance in August. He was determined to complete the section from provincial road No.353 (Do Son) to district road No.212 (Tien Lang) on schedule before the Lunar New Year and complete the remaining sections by May 2023.
According to the report, at the coastal road construction project under BOT contract, the contractors are performing the work items with an estimated contract value in Do Son District of 47%; KienThuy District of 49%; Van Uc bridge of nearly 70%; Tien Lang District of 12%, Thai Binh bridge of 23% and Thai Thuy District, Thai Binh Province of 58%. For the coastal road expanding project, the total construction value is about 37% of the contract value./.
