On March 17th, 2023, Viet Nam’s city members under framework of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia – Pacific Cities (TPO) attended the regional meeting with the theme “Green convergence” was held in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

Participating in the meeting were TPO Secretariat’s members including Secretary General Woo Kyoung Ha, Director Cho Jae Dong and two other members; representatives of 08 provinces and cities in Viet Nam including Hai Phong city, Da Lat city (Lam Dong province), Vung Tau city (Ba Ria – Vung Tau province).

At the meeting, Director of TPO Secretariat reported TPO’s activities in the year of 2022, and tourism promotion activities will be implemented in 2023 under the network of TPO’s member cities, in which, a tourism promotion event will be organized in Jeonju City of South Korea in September 2023. Besides, Director of TPO Secretariat announced tourism development orientation and received comments and suggestions from delegates attending the meeting to promote tourism development of member cities.
Within the framework of the meeting, enterprises manufacturing agricultural products and handicrafts; providing tourist and resort services attended the exhibition and displayed typical products, tourist services, brochures, and information on destinations in Vung Tau city. Delegates also participated in a tour to visit unique sites of Vung Tau city (such as the Museum, eco-tourism at glance, handicraft village, etc.).

The regional meeting of member cities of Viet Nam is held annually to further strengthen friendship and investment and development cooperation between TPO’s member cities in Viet Nam and other city members around the world (South Korea, Japan, China, etc.)./.
