(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Hai Phong City People’s Committee has just launched the Plan to organize the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival– Hai Phong 2023.
The Festival will be held from 12th to 14th May 2023, with the theme: “Hai Phong – Shining at estuary of the sea”. The main activities of the festival will take place at the Opera House Square and downtown strip; other sub-events will take place throughout the city.
In which, the night event “Hai Phong – Shining at estuary of the sea” to celebrate 68th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day will take place on the evening of May 13, 2023 (Saturday). The program is expected to be broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Viet Nam Television, then will be received by Hai Phong Television and Radio and broadcast to a number of radio and television channels of neighboring cities and provinces. Fireworks display will follow the event’s agenda.
The art performance of the event night “Hai Phong – Shining at estuary of the sea” is associated with important events of the country and the city in the year of 2023, affirming that Hai Phong has well promoted its potential, advantages and has become a bright spot of the country in economic, social and cultural development with double-digits economic growth for consecutive seven years (since 2015), belong to the leading group in term of high growth rate, vibrant cultural and artistic activities, good quality, satisfying the people’s spiritual life, and is highly appreciated by the public and experts across the country in regard of cultural development; fulfill its role as a driving force to arouse and strengthen the pride and strength of national unity; maintaining social security, national defense and political security, ensuring conditions for proactive international integration, making a significant contribution to the common achievements of the country. Hai Phong has been chosen as a destination for large-scale domestic and international businesses, an attractive and friendly destination for millions of domestic and international tourists. The vibrant art performances with many unique and creative forms with the participation of artists and art troupes inside and outside of the city promises to attract the attention of residents and visitors.
On this occasion, leaders of the city will attend an incense offering ceremony to commemorate heroes and martyrs at the Monument of City’s Martyrs, and commemorate Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh at the Monument of Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh at Viet Tiep Palace of Culture, Labor and Friendship. Activities to promote culture, sports and tourism will be launched across the city, in alignment with the groundbreaking and inaugurating events of key projects and works to celebrate Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Flower Festival 2023.
