According to Mr. Tran Duc Thang - Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, in the first 5 months of 2025, the total product in the province (GRDP at comparable prices) is estimated at 50,814 billion VND, an increase of 11.1% over the same period last year. Budget revenue continues to increase, reaching 13,990 billion VND, equivalent to 50.7% of the year's estimate. As of May 19, the disbursement of public investment capital in the area was 3,357.6 billion VND, reaching 32.1%, ranking 7th in the country. Total social investment capital in the first 5 months of the year is estimated at 25,247 billion VND, an increase of 17.7% over the same period in 2024.
Hai Duong province has actively coordinated the implementation of national key investment projects and major provincial projects. At the same time, this locality is also coordinating to build a plan to build a new traffic axis connecting to the center of Hai Phong city to serve the travel needs of the people and create a new development space after the province's merger.

Hai Duong needs to soon reach an agreement with the Hai Phong City Party Committee on the plan for a new office building, official housing for officials, handling public assets after the merger, and arranging reasonable work for officials so that the highest goal is for officials to be close to the people and handle their work effectively.
