Preparations for the Meeting with Exemplary Enterprises and International Guests

On February 9, 2026, Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau chaired a meeting with city leaders to deploy key tasks, emphasizing a drastic working spirit. A focal point of these tasks is the organization of the Meeting with Exemplary Enterprises and International Guests, scheduled for the afternoon of March 3, 2026, at the City Convention and Performance Center in the North Cam River Urban Area.

The event is expected to host approximately 400 delegates, including 150 domestic enterprises, 80 top FDI taxpayers, and representatives from 20 international organizations. The primary goal is to encourage and commend the efforts and contributions of these organizations to the city's development in 2025 while setting a direction for 2026. During the event, the city plans to present awards to 50 exemplary enterprises, along with one international organization and one individual.

Enterprises selected for awards must satisfy the following specific criteria:

  • Budget Contribution: Must be among the 80 businesses with the highest tax contributions to the city in 2025.
  • Tax Compliance: Strict adherence to tax laws and policies.
  • Responsibility to Employees: Good compliance with labor safety regulations and full implementation of social insurance payments.
  • Environmental and Security Compliance: Excellence in environmental protection and maintaining security and order within their operating areas.
  • Internal Stability: No internal disputes or petitions.

The selection is conducted through a rigorous three-step process:

  1. The City Tax Office proposes 80 businesses (domestic and FDI) based on high budget contributions and tax compliance.
  2. Relevant departments, including Home Affairs, Agriculture and Environment, Social Insurance, Police, and the City Inspectorate, review these businesses against the established criteria.
  3. The Emulation and Reward Board summarizes the findings and submits them to the People's Committee for the final decision on the 50 most exemplary enterprises.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is tasked with ensuring effective international participation by:

  • Connecting with and inviting 20 international organizations and foreign business association representatives.
  • Proposing one international organization and one exemplary individual for commendation.
  • Providing translation services for socio-economic reports and arranging on-site English interpreters.
  • Assisting in the formal reception of international delegates.

This meeting serves as a strategic "boost" in both spirit and policy for Hai Phong during the transition from 2025 to 2026. It sends a clear message of partnership and support for businesses to make breakthroughs in the future. Furthermore, it affirms Hai Phong's position as a dynamic, friendly, and professional port city in the eyes of international partners. This is also a vital opportunity for city leaders to directly listen to and share with delegates, highlighting the role of domestic and foreign enterprises as the primary driver for Hai Phong in the new era.
